Whenever <br />possible, and with due regard for merit and fitness, the <br />appointing autho,lty shall avoid the appointment of any <br />person when such person is related to any elected or <br />appointed Olficer' or employee of the village, Ap- <br />pointment or assignments of persons related to any <br />elected Or appointed officer or employee in the same <br />department Is prohibited, .. <br />b, Any employee of the Police Department or Main, <br />tenance Department shall establish, within one (1 year <br />after the date ot hiS original appointment and re aln a <br />....sldent within a ten mile limit Of the New Bri hton <br />MunICipal Building, e03 5th Avenue N,W, Police of icers <br />after two (2) years Of full time service may esiele <br />outside the ten (10) mile limit, <br />C, The ten nO) mile limit Shall bedetermin d by <br />taking a suitable map and drawing a circle havin a te"n <br />(10) mHe radius from.the New Brighton Municipal <br />BuHding, This map shall become part of this ordi ance <br />and remain In the custOdy of the Village.
