Section 240:10, Subdivision 5 of the New Brighton <br />illage Code is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Section 240:10, S" <br /> <br />'f. <br /> <br /> <br />Subd. 5. Benefits during probationary period. <br />During the initial probationary period, but not during a promotion 1 <br />probationary period, an employee will not be paid for any absence <br />from work with the exception of legaf paid holidays and sick leave. <br />Sic~ leave is payable only when sick leave time has been accrued. <br />fter six (6) months of service an employee will be entitled to <br />acation leave to be accrued from the start of probationary <br />employment. Section 240:30, SUbdivision 1 and Subdivision 5 0 <br />he New Brighton Village Code are hereby amended to read as <br />follows: <br /> <br />Section 240:30 <br /> <br />l <br /> <br /> <br />Subd. 1. Eligibility. Sick leave with pay shall be granted <br />o all probationary and permanent employees at the rate of one <br />orking day for each calendar month of full-time service or major <br />fraction thereof. Paid sick leave should be granted only to those <br />mployees who have accrued sick leave time. <br />Section 240:30 <br /> <br />Subd. 5. Terminal Sick Leave. Terminal sick leave shall be <br />ranted in the amount of twenty-five (25) percent of accrued sick <br />eave to employees who have completed ten (10) years of service, <br />xcept that employees who are represented by an exclusive <br />epresentative as provided in M.S.A. 179.61 - 179.77 shall have <br />erminal sick leave benefits as provided in their contracts. <br /> <br />~,- <br /> <br />Section 3.
