<br />!. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />... <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 306 <br /> <br />....: <br /> <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />VILLAGE OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE 1966 NEW BRIGHTON VILLAGE CODE BY ADDING <br />THERETO CHAPTER 150 PROVIDING FOR THE HANDLING, SALE AND DISPOSAL <br />OF PROPERTY IN POSSESSION OF THE VILLAGE AND UNCLAIMED BY THE OWNE <br /> <br />The Village Council of the Village of New Brighton does ordai <br /> <br /> <br />SECTION 1. The 1966 New Brighton Village Code is hereby <br />amended by adding thereto the following Section 150 which shall <br />as follows: <br /> <br />~ <br />~t <br /> <br />SECTION 150 UNCLAIMED PROPERTY <br /> <br />Section l50:00 Custody. All property which lawfully comes <br />into the possession of the Village of New Brighton in the course <br />of municipal operations and is unclaimed by the lawful owner <br />shall be kept in custody by the Police Department. <br /> <br />Section 150:02 Sale. Any property lawfully coming into the <br />possession of the village of New Brighton in the course of its <br />municipal operations remaining unclaimed by the lawful owner more <br />than sixty (60) days after such property came into the possession <br />of the village, may be sold at Public Auction. <br /> <br />Section 150:04 Notice of Sale. Notice of such public auction <br />shall be made by publication of a Notice at least two times in the <br />official village newspaper. Such notice shall set forth the date, <br />time and place of such sale and shall generally describe the items <br />to be sold. <br /> <br /> <br />Section 150:06 Conduct of Sale. The public auction sale shall <br />e conducted by the Police Department. All sales shall be for <br />ash to the highest bidder. A record of each item sold and the <br />rice received shall be kept. <br /> <br />Section 150:08 Disposition of Proceeds. All monies reccived <br />from a public sale shall be delivered to the Village Treasurer for <br />eposit in the General Fund-of the village. Such monies shall be <br />subject to the right of the former owner to payment of the sale <br />rice from the General Fund upon application and satisfactory proof <br />f ownership any time within six (6) months of the date of the sale. <br /> <br />":.... .- <br /> <br />SECTION 2.
