" , ,;,,.. ,j <br /> <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AttlENI>:ING"'~' 1966 N&,W BRIGH'I'QN "CODE OF ORDINANCES BY <br />PROVIDIN(; FOR RSTMt!SHMEN'I'.OF FU~E Acci:SSROADS TO AND ON PRIVArrE <br />PROPERTY, PROHIBITION OF VEHICLE PARKING THEREON OR OBSTRUCTION <br />THEREOF ,ESTABLISHING STANDARDS FOR POSTING AND MARKING THEREOF, <br />PROVIDING PE~ALTIES,FOR VIOLATION THEREOF AND PROVIDING FOR TOWING <br />OF VEHICLES IN VIOLATION THEREOF. <br /> <br />The New Brighton Village Council does ordain as follows: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. The 1966 New Brighton Code of ordinances is <br />hereby amended to add thereto Section 715 entitled Fire Access <br />Roads which section shall read as follows: <br /> <br />SECTIO~ 7l5--FIRE ACCESS ROADS <br /> <br />Section 7l5:00Establishment. Where it is determined by <br />Village Council, with the advice of the Chief of Police, Fi:re <br />and Village Engineer, that access to buildings in the Village o.t <br />New Brigbton by the New Brighton Fire Department equipment over <br />public and/or private roads can only be maintained by prohipiting <br />vehicle parking on one or both sides of such PUblic and/or private <br />roads, then such pUblic and/or private rQads, or partsthere6f, <br />shall, by resolutinnofthe Village Council, pe established and <br />designated as fire access roads. In such resolution, it shall be <br />stated where vehicle parking shall be prohibited. <br /> <br />Section 715:20 Posting and Marking. All fire access roads <br />established shall be posted and marked as follows: <br /> <br />(a) The curb on the side or sides of such ,road for the:' full <br />distance where vehicle parking is prohibited shall be <br />painted yellow. <br /> <br />(b) The side or sides of such road shall be posted with sign <br />directed toward vehicular traffic tr;aveling OIl such side <br />of the road. Such signs shall be white background with <br />red border and lettering stating in substance: NO <br />PARKING -- F IRE LANE -- BY ORDER OF F' IRE CHIEF. Such <br />sigps shall be at each end of such zone and every 100 <br />feet within such zone. <br /> <br />Section 715:04 Violation Towing. All vehicles found <br />unattended and parked in areas designated, marked and posted as <br />Fire .l\cCess Roads shall be caused to be towed away by the New <br />Brighton police and such vehicle shall only be returned to the <br />owner thereof upon proof of ownership and payment of towing and <br />storage costs. .. . <br /> <br />,'. <br /> <br />ili <br /> <br />
