THE PHISICAL DE:VELOPI.IENT OF TliE VILLAGE AND 1'0 ltECOI.jI-IELilD A ZO~nNG PLAN i'he Village Council of the Village of Nevi:::;righton does ordain: Section 1. ~stablishment of Commission. A village planning cOli1;iiission for the village of new Jrighton is hereby established. Section 2. Purpose. The prime purpose of the Planning Commission is to provide long range planning guidance to the Village Council in order to foster a Hell coordinated purposeful gro1;rth of the Village of New 'righton. Section). COi;)l)osition. Such planning cowmiss::.on shall consist of nine meiubers. Six members shall IJe appointed by the "hllage Council and :nay be rernoved by a four-fiftbs vote of the council; the VillaGe Engineer and the Village Attorney shalloe :~!lembers ex officio; and the council shall select one memiJer of tt18 commission from aiTLOng its own meinDers. Of the members of tIle co:n:mission first appointed, -Cwo shall be appointed for a tern ending Dec8;lber )1, 1961, two for a ter-:11 ending DecemiJer )1. 1962, one for a ternl ending December 31, 196), and one for a term ending December )1, 1964. Their successors shall be appointed for tel'"Ll1s of four years. ;;ot11 original and successive appointees sb,all [wId their offices until their successors are appointed and qualified. The commission shall elect a chair-wan from among its appointed metlbers for a term of one :year; and the cOD1:niss:lon may create and fill such other oZfices as it may determine. 'i'he cOE1:'lission shall hold at least one regular meeting each month. It shall adopt rules for the transaction of ')usiness and shall keep a record of its resolutions, transactions, and findings, which record shall be a pLlblic record. On or before January first of each J'ear the commission shall submit to the Village Council a report of its work during the preceding year.
