COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br />Pursuant to notice thereof a regular meeting of the New Brighton <br />City Council was held Tuesday, April 10, 1979, at 7:30 p.m. in the <br />municipal building, 803 5th Avenue NW, New Brighton, Minnesota. <br />Present: Mayor James Senden, Councilmembers, Bob Benke, <br />Roger Blomquist, Jeanette Janecek, <br />Absent: Councilmember Fritz Werdouschegg <br />Also Dennis S. Zylla, City Manager <br />Present: John Bannigan, City Attorney <br />Les Proper, Director of Public Works <br />James F. Winkels, Director of Community Development <br />Vernon C. Pederson, City Clerk/Treasurer <br />Minutes <br />Motion by Janecek, seconded by Blomquist to approve <br />the minutes of the meeting of March 27, 1979 as <br />presented. <br />4 ayes - 0 nayes- carried <br />Special Order of Business <br />Mayor Senden introduced the New City Manager, <br />Dennis Zylla, and stated the council looks forward to <br />many years of working with him. <br />Mayor Senden read a resolution of appreciation <br />to Vernon C. Pederson for his work as acting city <br />manager and moved to adopt the resolution. <br />Motion seconded by Blomquist <br />4 ayes - 0 nayes- carried <br />Mayor Senden expressed appreciation to the city <br />staff for their work.and cooperation with <br />Vernon Pederson. <br />RESOLUTION <br />NO. 2183 <br />Consent Agenda <br />Motion by Blomquist, seconded by Benke to authorize <br />administration to issue purchase order for the following: <br />rubber tile for park shelter to St. Paul Linoleum & <br />Carpet in the amount of $1,224.00 <br />48 inch rotary mower to Big G Sales in the amount <br />of $2,064,, . <br />aerial photography to Mark Hurd Aerial Surveys, Inc in <br />the amount of $1,950. <br />To approve assessment division 54225 <br />Approve Consolidated fund vouchers 29,305 thru 29,376 and <br />53,271 thru 53,359 <br />Approve liquor fund vouchers 11,052 thru 11,125 <br />4 ayes 0 nayes- carried
