RESOLUTION NO. <br />07-] 05 <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br />RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE RAMSEY COUNTY BOARD OF <br />COMMISSIONERS TO ORDER THE INSTALLATION OF A PEDESTRIAN <br />CROSSWALK AT THE INTERSECTION OF LONG LAKE ROAD AND BEACH <br />ROAD. <br />WHEREAS, In March 2007 the City of New Brighton has formed a Trails Committee to <br />)lve citizens in the future development of the trail system; and, <br />WHEREAS, The intersection of Long Lake Road and Beach Road is a high pedestrian <br />fic area. This area connects the existing Pike Lake Trail to the Long Lake Regional Park <br />well as connects to a key north/south linkage along Long Lake Road. The nearest <br />lestrian crossing is approximately 1/z mile north at Rosewood Court. This intersection is <br />a is a high priority for safety. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of City of New Brighton <br />uests the Ramsey County Board of Commissioners order the installation of a pedestrian <br />sswalk at the intersection of Long Lake Road and Beach road as shown on Attachment A. <br />by the City Council of New Brighton, Minnesota this 9th day of October 2007. <br />ATTEST: <br />Daniel A.
