Stat., Ch. 117; and <br /> <br />" <br />II <br />d <br />I) <br />I <br />.. <br />'l; <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 04- 008 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE <br />CONDEMNATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY FOR DEVELOPMENT <br />PURPOSES <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of New Brighton is the official governing <br />body of the City of New Brighton; and <br /> <br />;i <br />)1 WHEREAS, pursuant to Minn. Stat. Ch. 469, the City has the authority to establish <br />!I :::~elopment districts and to create, undertake and complete development projects therein; <br /> <br />Ii <br />II <br />II <br />!'i <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council established Development District No. 1 (the <br />"Development District") on December 22, 1981, and thereafter enlarged it; and <br /> <br />'I WHEREAS, the real estate described in Exhibit A attached hereto and incorporated <br />11 <br />I' herein ("Subject Property") is located within the Development District and is among the <br />I parcels which may be acquired pursuant to the Development Program for the Development <br />i District; and <br />! <br /> <br />II <br />II WHEREAS, the City Council has approved a development agreement for <br />11 redevelopment of the Subject Property in accordance with the Development Program for <br />: I the Development District; and <br />Ii <br />>I <br />H WHEREAS, the City has performed all actions required by law to be performed <br />H prior to the creation of the Development District, and adoption of the Development <br />q <br />: i Program; and <br />11 <br /> <br />;1 WHEREAS, the City Council finds that redevelopment of the Subject Property <br />i I pursuant to the provisions of the Development Program is necessary, convenient, desirable, <br />Ii for a public purpose, in the best interests of the citizens of the City and would promote the <br />Ii general health, welfare and safety of the community; and <br /> <br />II <br />Ii WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it is reasonable, necessary, proper, <br />, convenient, for a public purpose, and in the interest of the public health, safety, <br />H <br /> <br />i; <br /> <br />RJL-242285vl <br />NE136-163 <br />
