RESOLUTION NO. 08-022 STATE OF MINNESOTA COUNTY OF RAMSEY CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON MAKING FINDINGS OF FACT AND APPROVAL OF PRELIMINARY PLANNED RESIDENTIAL NT AND SITE PLAN. THE S, an application has been made by the Clifton House, Inc. to permit construction of 10, 290 S, f. 6 -bed Christian Science nursing facility/inspiration center on approximately 2.08 acres to b ubdivided from 1190 Long Lake Road, and 'HERHAS, the procedural history of the application is as follows: 1. plications for preliminary Planned Residential Development and Site Plan were received o IDecember 28, 2007. 2. 1 Ile Planning Commission, pursuant to published and mailed notices, held a public hearing on January 15, 2008 and all present were given a chance to freely speak at the hearing. 3. The Planning Commission opened the public hearing and considered the application on A.luary 15, 2008. The Commission voted to table the request to allow the applicant time to tesider a revised plan more consistent with the 2005 proposal, previously approved. 4. Planning Commission continued the public hearing on February 19, 2008 where all ies present were able to speak. The Commission voted to approve the request subject to 5. I%e City Council considered the request on February 26, 2008. JHEREAs, the Planning Commission and Council make the following Findings of Fact with resptdt to the preliminary Planned Residential Development (RD2008-001) and Site Plan (LP2 08-001): 1. T I ie property is zoned R-1, Single Family Residential. 2. e property is guided in the Comprehensive Plan for Low Density Residential. 3. e property is legally described in attached Exhibit A. 4. a applicant has proposed to subdivide 2.08 acres from 1190 Long Lake Road in a ordance with the subdivision regulations of Chapter 26 of the City Code and as illustrated on attached Exhibit A. 5. Ile proposed Planned Residential Development will apply to the 2.08 proposed for s division, as illustrated on attached Exhibit A. 6. a Planning Commission and Council considered the proposed Planned Residential velopment based on the following requirements of Section 7-070 (2): Consistency of the plan with type, density, height and bulk of surrounding lands and the Zoning Code. Consistency with the stated principles of the planned residential development. The plat of the plan and its provisions for public facilities, internal circulation, and recreational spaces.
