<br /> ,I. _"'-\ ~ If' . <br /> . <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2197 <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> RESOLUTION REGARDING DATA TO BE COMPILED BY THE METROPOLITAN <br /> AIRPORTS COMMISSION FOR THE MASTER PLAN OF THE ANOKA COUNTY <br /> AIRPORT <br /> WHEREAS an Airport Master plan and Environmental Impact <br /> Assessment Report are to be prepared for the Anoka County <br /> Airport in Blaine, and <br /> WHEREAS the Metropolitan Airports Commission has stressed <br /> local government and citizen participation in the development of <br /> the report, and <br /> WHEREAS the city of New Brighton is directly impacted by <br /> the possible upgrading of the Anoka County Airport, and <br /> vlliEREAS the New Brighton City Council desires to have <br /> specific areas addressed in the Master Plan <br /> NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Council of the City <br /> of New Brighton hereby submits to the Metropolitan Airports <br /> Commission the following items for inclusion in the Master Plan <br /> and any subsequent studies concerning the upgrading of the <br /> Anoka County Airport: <br /> 1. That the"do nothing" alternate be seriously evaluated <br /> . during the Master Plan. <br /> 2. That MAC should determine noise levels by on-site field <br /> tests over an extended period of time at different <br /> hours of the day and these be compared to other airport <br /> facilities. <br /> 3. Noise levels be projected according to usage in the <br /> horizon years of 1985, 1990 and 2000, comparing minor <br /> status usage to intermediate. <br /> 4. Incremental data for horizon years 1985, 1990 and <br /> 2000 be presented showing the impact any upgrading <br /> would have on housing iInmediately surrounding the <br /> Airport; also impact on: <br /> a. schools <br /> b. churches <br /> c. public facilities (parks, playgrounds, utility <br /> systems) <br /> d. comprehensive land use plans <br /> e. present zoning classifications in the city <br /> f. public health, safety and general welfare of <br /> community. <br /> 5. Detailed plans be drawn showing buffer Zones between <br /> the Airport and the surrounding residential areas. <br /> 6. Project effects on the environment because of <br /> pollutants which will be generated by aircraft. <br /> 7. Prepare a detailed map locating_the ?pproaches to the <br /> runways and flight patterns of aircraft. <br /> I <br />
