, ~~~
if' .....
RESOLUTION NO. 1150
STATE OF MINNESOTA
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
VILLAGE OF NEW BRIGHTON
RESOLUTION EXTENDING MORATORIUM ON THE ISSUANCE OF PERMITS FOR
THE CONSTRUCTION OF SIGNS WITHIN THE VILLAGE OF NEW BRIGHTON
WHEREAS Resolution 1099 adopted August 8, 1972, extended a
moratorium on the issuance of sign permits until November 14,
1972 or until the section of the zoning code relating to signs
had been amended and corrected, and
WHEREAS the problems are being actively worked on but are
not yet resolved
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Village
of New Brighton as follows:
1. The moratorium on the issuance of sign permits be
extended until February 13, 1973 or until the section
of the zoning code relating to signs has been amended
and corrected, whichever shall be first~
2. That in specific instances and upon special consideration
by the Village Council an application for a sign permit
may be granted if it can be shown that it is clearly
authorized by the ordinance and its authorization does
not fall within an area of potential confusion,
misinterpretation, or conflict of the ordinance as it
is now written, if it is shown to the satisfaction of
the Council that a hardship would exist if such permit
were delayed.
Adopted this 14th day of November 1972.
C. Bromander, Mayor
ATTEST:
~ai2JJ~A~
Vernon C. Pederson, Clerk-Treasurer
(SEAL)
