I ..- " i! ~ ,- , - . ,; RESOLUTION NO. 1195 STATE OF MINNESOTA COUNTY OF RAMSEY VILLAGE OF NEW BRIGHTON RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING TRANSFER FROM PERSONAL SERVICES TO OTHER CURRENT EXPENSES WITHIN THE POLICE ACCOUNT OF THE GENERAL FUND WHEREAS the 1973 Budget authorizes the position of Assistant Police Chief, and WHEREAS the budget does not include funds for interview 'travel expenses of the certified candidates, payment of moving expenses of the appointed candidate or office furniture for the Assistant Chief1s office, and WHEREAS an amount of $2,900 is available within the Police Account due to the fact that the Assistant Police Chief1s position was not filled as of January 1, 1973, and WHEREAS the Council has determined that the interests of the Village are best served by assuming the costs of travel and related costs incurred by candidates for travel and subsistence for interviews and payment of moving costs of the candidate appointed, up to the maximum funds available within the budget for such expenditures NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE :OF NEW BRIGHTON AS FOLLOWS: 1. An amount not to exceed $2,500 be transferred from Employee Services to Other Current Expenses within Police Department account within the General Fund and $400.00 from Police Employee Services to Capital Outlay Account within General Fund; 2. All verified costs incurred by certified candidates for travel, subsistence and lodging accepting invitation of t:1e Village Manager for personal interviews regarding the position of Assistant Police Chief be reimbursed to the candidate; 3. $400.00 be transferred to General Fund Capital Outlay for the purchase of a desk and chair; 4. An amount not to exceed $2,900 minus items 2 and 3 be authorized for moving expenses of the appointed candidate.
