<br />WHEREAS the Rice Creek Watershed has proposed that it '
<br />acqt:1ired 'Ramsey County Ditches 'Nos. 2,' 3, and 5, and

<br />WHEREAS Ho'Use File No. 1952 is proposed legislation which
<br />would betterenahle the proper repair and,irnprovement of County

<br />~REAS the City of New Brighton'desires to take an official
<br />posit'ion in regard to' the above matters
<br />
<br />NOW THEREFOaE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
<br />,of New Brighton as follows:

<br />1. ' The City Of New Brigbtonfavors. andsuppo:i::'ts the
<br />acquisition by the Rice Creek Watershed District of
<br />Ramsey,County Ditches Nos., 2, 3, and 5, for the following

<br />a.' It would better enable the needed repairs, improve-
<br />ment and new construction 'of Ramsey County Ditches

<br />b.lt would provide for. a more equitable assessment of

<br />"', , c. . It would enable municipalities to initiate work on
<br />ditches wholly or partly located within such
