<br />"" ri -- <br />'4. <br />:.~ <br />I <br />I <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2055 <br />~ CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> RESOLUTION ENDORSING COMPLETION OF THE NOISE BARRIER ON 1-694 <br /> NEAR SILVER LAKE ROAD <br /> WHEREAS the Legislature provid~d for the construction of noisE: <br /> barriers along freeways when neighborhoods were adversely affected <br /> by traffice noise, and , <br /> WHEREAS the locations of the barriers along 1-694 near Silver <br /> Lake Road were determined by an open process involving all affectec, <br /> parties, and <br /> WHEREAS legal action has been initiated to circumvent this <br /> decision making process <br /> NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the city Council does hereby <br /> direct its staff to take whatever action it deems appropriate to <br /> seek a favorable and early resolution of the legal proceedings that <br /> supports the concept of public involvement at the loca 1 1eve 1 , and <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be <br /> sent to all parties involved in the legal proceedings to indicate <br />the council's concern over the possible circumvention of the <br />'results of the 10ca 1 involvement process. <br /> Adopted this l3th day of June 1978. <br /> , <br /> ~ <br /> Senden, Mayor <br />ATTEST: C(~~~ <br /> ~, (L@~ Gary L~ Hunt City Manager <br /> V <br /> Vernon c.
