I I <br />, ~ <br />...... . .If' <br /> ->., .... <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2-0.53'; <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> RESOLUTION MAKING FINDINGS OF FACT AND DENYING REZONING <br /> APPLICATIONS, R-lOO AND R-IOl <br /> WHEREAS applications for a rezoning, R-IOO and R-IOl, <br /> have been initiated by the City Council upon the request of <br /> The Village Carpenters and upon the recommendation of the <br /> city staff,and <br /> WHEREAS the procedural history of the application is <br /> as follows: <br /> 1. That at its May 9, 1978 meeting the City Council <br /> was requested to initiate a rezoning from R-3A to 1-2 <br /> of the property at 326 Second Street N.W. by the <br /> city staff, and that the City Council did initiate <br /> such rezoning at said meeting; <br /> 2. That the Board of Planning heard and reviewed the <br /> application at its meeting of June 1, 1978; <br /> 3. That the City Council, pursuant to published and <br /> mailed notices, held a public hearing on June 13, <br /> 1978, to consider the application. All persons <br /> present at the hearing were given an opportunity <br /> to be heard. <br /> 4. That the written comments and analysis of the <br /> Director of Community Development and all persons <br /> statements made at the Board of Planning meeting <br /> and at the public hearing were considered. <br /> NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City <br /> Df New Brighton that the following findings of fact are made <br /> ;Ln respect to R-I01: <br /> I 1. The property covered by R-I01, is proposed for heavy <br /> industrial use in the proposed Comprehensive Plan <br /> for the City of New BRighton adopted by the Planning <br /> Commission in April, 1977; <br /> i <br /> 2. That said proposed Comprehensive Plan proposes <br /> rezoning of property to be consistent with land use <br /> recommendations in the Plan; <br /> 3. That the proposed rezoning would have the effect <br /> of implementing a land use recommendation of the <br /> proposed Comprehensive Plan; <br /> . <br /> , <br /> 'I <br />
