RESOLUTION NO. 2-0.53'; STATE OF MINNESOTA COUNTY OF RAMSEY CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON RESOLUTION MAKING FINDINGS OF FACT AND DENYING REZONING APPLICATIONS, R-lOO AND R-IOl WHEREAS applications for a rezoning, R-IOO and R-IOl, have been initiated by the City Council upon the request of The Village Carpenters and upon the recommendation of the city staff,and WHEREAS the procedural history of the application is as follows: 1. That at its May 9, 1978 meeting the City Council was requested to initiate a rezoning from R-3A to 1-2 of the property at 326 Second Street N.W. by the city staff, and that the City Council did initiate such rezoning at said meeting; 2. That the Board of Planning heard and reviewed the application at its meeting of June 1, 1978; 3. That the City Council, pursuant to published and mailed notices, held a public hearing on June 13, 1978, to consider the application. All persons present at the hearing were given an opportunity to be heard. 4. That the written comments and analysis of the Director of Community Development and all persons statements made at the Board of Planning meeting and at the public hearing were considered. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City Df New Brighton that the following findings of fact are made ;Ln respect to R-I01: I 1. The property covered by R-I01, is proposed for heavy industrial use in the proposed Comprehensive Plan for the City of New BRighton adopted by the Planning Commission in April, 1977; i 2. That said proposed Comprehensive Plan proposes rezoning of property to be consistent with land use recommendations in the Plan; 3. That the proposed rezoning would have the effect of implementing a land use recommendation of the proposed Comprehensive Plan; . , 'I
