<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS <br /> <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> <br />, Pursuant to notice thereof a regular meeting of the New <br />Brighton City Council was held Tuesday, July 14, 1981 at <br />7:30 p.m. in the municipal building, 803 5th Avenue NW, <br />New Brighton, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Present: Mayor James Senden, Counci1members Bob Benke, <br />Roger Blomquist, Steven Schmidt <br /> <br />Absent: Counci1member Janecek <br /> <br />Also <br />Present: <br /> <br />James W. Fornel1, City Manager <br />Donald L. Lais, City Attorney <br />Les Proper, Director of Public Works <br />James Winkels, Director of Community Development <br />Joan Archer, City Planner <br />Vern Pederson, City Clerk <br /> <br />Minutes <br />Motion by Blomquist, seconded by Benke to approve <br />the minutes of June 23, 1981 as presented. <br />4 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />The Mayor with consent of the Council directed the <br />receipt and filing of the June 3, 1981 Park Board <br />minutes and.the July 1, 1981 Park Board minutes. <br /> <br />Special Order of Buainess <br />Letters of appreciation were presented <br />from the New Brighton Historical Society and the <br />New Brighton Jaycees, and the Minnesota <br />Department of Transportation. <br /> <br />Gayle Bromander, representing the New Brighton <br />Historical Society and the New Brighton Jaycees, <br />publicly thanked the City for its participation <br />in making the New Brighton Stockyard Days such <br />a noteworthy event. <br /> <br />The Mayor expressed the appreciation of the <br />Council and the City to the organizations involved <br />their efforts in making this a noteworthy event <br />and with consent of the Council ordered receipt <br />and filing of the letters. <br /> <br />Consent Agenda <br />Motion by Senden, seconded by Blomquist to <br />approve the following items: <br /> <br />Letters of Appreciatio <br />Stockyard Days <br />
