<br />I <br /> <br />COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS <br /> <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> <br />Pursuant to notice thereof a regular meeting of the New <br />Brighton City Council was held Tuesday, March 24, 1981 <br />at 7:30 p.m. in the municipal building, 803 5th Avenue NW, <br />New Brighton, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Present: <br /> <br />Mayor James Senden, Counci1members Bob Benke, <br />Roger Blomquist, Jeanette Janecek, Steve Schmidt <br /> <br />Absent: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />Also <br />Present: <br /> <br />John R. Grau, Acting City Manager <br />Donald L. Lais, City Attorney <br />Les Proper, Director of Public Works <br />Jim Winkels, Director of Community Development <br />Joan Archer, City Planner <br />Vern Pederson, City Clerk <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Minutes <br />Motion by Blomquist, seconded by Benke to approve the <br />minutes of March 10, 1981 as presented. <br />5 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />The Mayor with consent of the Council directed receipt <br />of the Citizen Study Committee minutes of February 25, 1981; <br />Board of Planning minutes of March 5, 1981; Board of Review <br />minutes of March 5, 1981; and Environmental Quality Commission <br />minutes of March 12, 1981 as presented. <br /> <br />Special Order of Business <br />Motion by Senden, seconded by Benke to waive <br />the redding and adopt a RESOLUTION COMHENDING <br />THE 1980-1981 IHONDAL:S HIGH SCHOOL HOCKEY <br />'rEAM, COACHES, CHEERLEADERS, AND FANS. <br />5 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #2435 <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The Mayor stated that due to a previous <br />committment that no members of the Irondale <br />Hockey Team were able to be present. He <br />directed staff to present copies of the <br />Resolution to the Ironda1e Hockey Team, <br />Coaches, and Cheerleaders. <br />
