RESOLUTION NO. 10-026 STATE OF MINNESOTA COUNTY OF RAMSEY CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON RESOLUTION ADOPTING AN AMENDED AND UPDATED COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AND TIER II COMPREHENSIVE SEWER PLAN FOR THE CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON PURSUANT TO MINNESOT STATE STATUTES WHEREAS, on November 24, 2009 the City Council of the City of New ;hton adopted Resolution 09-079, adopting the 2030 New Brighton Comprehensive i, and WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council requires that cities adopt a Tier II nprehensive Sewer Plan as part of their 2030 Comprehensive Plan, and WHEREAS, Resolution 09-079 is being amended on April 13, 2010 to include ption of the City of New Brighton Tier II Comprehensive Sewer Plan, which is a part he 2030 New Brighton Comprehensive Plan, and WHEREAS, the 1976 Metropolitan Land Planning Act (MLPA) requires imunities within the Twin Cities Metropolitan Area to develop and update once every years a local comprehensive plan that includes elements as described in Chapter 473 tion 859 of the Minnesota Statutes including land use, public facilities, and dementation strategies, and WHEREAS, Chapter 473 Section 175 of the Minnesota Statues gives the tropolitan Council the authority to review local comprehensive plans to determine r compatibility with each other and conformity with the metropolitan system plans, WHEREAS, Chapter 473 section 864 Subdivision 2 of the Minnesota Statues led the MLPA in 1995 to require decennial reviews of the local comprehensive to be completed by December 31, 2008, and WHEREAS, the City of New Brighton last updated its comprehensive plan on 11, 2000 after receiving an extension to the December 31, 1999 deadline, and WHEREAS, on April 15, 2008, the Planning Commission of the City of New hton held a public hearing on the 2030 New Brighton Comprehensive Plan Update recommended the City Council authorize submission of the plan update to the -opolitan Council, and
