<br />~ <br /> <br />.. <br /> <br />..1 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 00-010 <br /> <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> <br />t' <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING 2-HOUR PARKING 7:30 AM TO 4:30 PM SCHOOL DAY, ON <br />ALL STREETS IN THE POPPYSEED AREA <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Student parking on the streets in the Poppyseed area has historically created <br />numerous problems for the residents such as blocked mail boxes resulting in a loss of mail <br />delivery, litter on adjacent lawns, loss of parking for use by residents, and inability of the City to <br />do a good job of snowplowing due to the amount of on street parking, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, The New Brighton Public Safety Commission held a meeting with the residents of the <br />Poppyseed area on November 17, 1999, to discuss the parking problems, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, As a result of the November 17, 1999, meeting the Public Safety Commission passed i <br />a motion recommending to the City Council of the City of New Brighton that all of the streets in <br />the Poppyseed area be posted 2-hour 7:30am to 4:30pm school days, and that a minimum <br />number of signs be used. <br /> <br />Now, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED That the City Council of the City of New Brighton hereby orders <br />the posting of 2-hour parking on all streets in the Poppyseed area using strategically located <br />signs that read "2-hour parking 7:30am to 4:30opm school day, all streets in this area", to <br />minimize the number of signs to be used. <br /> <br />Adopted by the City Council this 25th day of January, 2000. <br /> <br />.--- <br /> <br />~~~ <br /> <br />Steve Larson, Mayor <br /> <br />"-ATTEST:;; -: <br /> <br />Ma~\~ce Director/City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />SEAL <br /> <br />I :\SHARED\COUNCIL \Resolutions\2000\Engineering\2hrpkpoppyseed. wpd <br />
