RESOLUTION NO <br />14 -026 <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION TO AMEND THE 2014 GENERAL FUND BUDGET <br />FOR THE PARKS DEPARTMENT <br />WHPREAS, the 2013 General Fund Budget for the Parks Department included an appropriation <br />of $71000 for electrical improvements at Hansen Park, and <br />, inclement weather delayed the task, and <br />;AS, the preliminary results for the year ending December 31, 2013, indicate that the <br />Fund will have a favorable budget variance (an operating surplus), and <br />, the budget appropriations expire at the end of each fiscal year and, <br />WHEREAS, by amending the 2014 General Fund Budget, the surplus can be carried over from <br />the 13 budget to the 2014 budget by increasing the Use of Reserves (fund balance) and, <br />:EAS, the transfer of $7,000 in funds should be enough to cover any increases in materials, <br />and unforeseen issues from the $6,075 quote received in the fall of 2013, <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the 2014 General Fund Budget be amended as <br />follows: <br />Increase: Parks - Contractual Services $7,000 <br />(Account number 101- 44141 -3 510) <br />Increase: Use of reserves $7,000 <br />Adopted this 22nd day of April, 2014. <br />ATT <br />Danie ' Maiers, <br />Direct& of Finance <br />(SEAL) <br />Dave Jacobsen, Mayor <br />
