Q';-013 <br /> <br />State of Minnesota <br />County of Ramsey <br />City of New Brighton <br /> <br />RESOLUTION SUPPORTING AN INCREASE IN THE DEPUTY <br />REGISTRAR FEE FOR DNR LICENSES <br /> <br />Whereas, the fifty cent administrative fee for processing Department of Natural <br />Resources licenses such as boats and snowmobiles has not been increased <br />since 1971; <br />Whereas, the cost of living index (CPI) has increased more than 250% during <br />the period from 1971 until 1995; <br />Whereas, this fee does not pay all of the deputy's costs associated with issuance <br />of the license; <br />Whereas, the administrative fee for motor vehicles has increased from seventy- <br />five cents to $3.50 during this same time period; <br />Whereas, the membership of the Minnesota Deputy Registrars Association <br />has passed a resolution requesting that the adminstrative fee for boats, snow- <br />mobiles, and A TVs be increased to $3.50 for deputy services; <br /> <br />Now, therefore be it resolved that the City of New Brighton supports legislation <br />which will increase the administrative fees for DNR licenses to $3.50; and, <br /> <br />That the City of New Brighton does encourage the League of MN Cities to adopt <br />a similar policy as part of its legislative program for 1995. <br /> <br />Adopted this 13th day of February, 1995. <br /> <br />~96.d~~ <br />Robert J.
