CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br />WHEREAS Jodelle Olson joined the City of New Brighton on May 16, 1977 and has been the face <br />of New Brighton Parks and Recreation for 41 years; and <br />WHEREAS Jodelle has: walked over 2,130 miles completing interoffice mail runs, created 124 job <br />lists to secure qualified employees for part-time and seasonal positions, spent the <br />equivalent of 8,815 days fixing the copier, replacing toner, ordering office supplies, <br />organizing the copy room and brining homeless paper copies to their owners; and <br />WHEREAS Jodelle helped reunite many lost children with their parents at the Eagles Nest, stayed <br />an extra 39,000 minutes at work to help customers who needed a small item processed <br />at the end of the day, processed over $75,000 in scholarships for families in need so <br />that New Brighton residents can participate in recreation programs and sports leagues; <br />and <br />WHEREAS Jodelle managed the office behind the scenes and did so many things we never realized, <br />covered for and fixed issues when managers, supervisors, foresters, superintendents, <br />assistant directors and directors were out of the office; and <br />WHEREAS Jodelle's last day with the City of New Brighton will be on January 31, 2019, and out <br />of reverence for her when she leaves the City to begin the new adventure of life called <br />retirement, staff will forever retire the name "Copy Room Sheriff." <br />NOW, THEREFORE I, VALERIE JOHNSON, Mayor of The City of New Brighton, Minnesota do <br />recognize 41 years of service, offer sincerest congratulations, and hereby proclaim: <br />Jodelle Olson <br />V NEW <br />MJBRIGHTON <br />building tomorrow today <br />A City Ambassador in the City of New Brighton. <br />IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my <br />hand and caused the Seal of the City of New <br />Brighton, Minn wia to be affix this 22nd day of January, <br />2019. <br />VALERIE JOHNSON — AM YO'R <br />
