She provided a look back <br /> at the events that occurred in 2020, which included Zoom installs, and commented on the purpose and core <br /> services provided by Nine North. She discussed how the studio was redesigned and noted this led to a <br /> reduction in overhead by 33%. She described how Nine North was trying to fill the hole of local news and now <br /> Nine North worked to cover local events. It was noted the core services provided by Nine North included web <br /> streaming, municipal meeting coverage, social media content, cable playback, virtual events, podcasts, and <br /> video production. She reported New Brighton received 144 hours of web streaming in 2020 which led to <br /> 11,101 meeting views, 1,531 landing page views and 1,820 cable play backs. She discussed the growth Nine <br /> North saw in 2020 in reaching more people through social media. The migration to virtual platforms was <br /> described at length. Further discussion ensued regarding the New Brighton events that were covered by Nine <br /> North that were the most popular in 2020. She described how Nine North adds value to the City of New <br /> Brighton through their staff members, expertise, and programming options for the community. The new <br /> options available for translations services and closed captioning were discussed with the Council. <br /> Mayor Niedfeldt-Thomas questioned the quarterly reports can be utilized by the City. Ms. Healy explained <br /> quarterly reports can be done on snow plowing, special events or other City initiatives to inform the public. <br /> Councilmember Dunsworth asked how often the City's newsletter was printed. Massopust reported this was <br /> completed quarterly. <br /> Mayor Niedfeldt-Thomas inquired how neighborhood network programs are completed. Ms. Healy explained <br /> Nine North was committed to completing three neighborhood network programs for a City each year. She <br /> encouraged the City to focus on the City for these programs. <br /> Councilmember Axberg suggested the Council consider programming that is coordinated on behalf of the City. <br /> Councilmember Dunsworth agreed and recommended the Council work with staff to draft questions. She <br /> suggested a neighborhood network program be completed to get the message out on the Zoning Code Task <br /> Force and the Inclusivity Committee. <br />
