<br />.1' <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 04-026 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING NEGOTIATION, EXECUTION AND <br />DELIVERY OF A PURCHASE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY <br />OF NEW BRIGHTON, MINNESOTA AND ROBERT AND AUDREY <br />NORDQUIST FOR THE REAL PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1873 OLD <br />HIGHWAY 8 NW, NEW BRIGHTON, MINNESOTA <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council (the "Council") of the City of New <br />Brighton, Minnesota (the "City") as follows: <br /> <br />Section 1. Recitals. <br /> <br />1.01 The Council previously found that relocation of Beisswenger's New <br />I Brighton Hardware, Inc. from its current site at 1360 Old Highway 8 NW to a new <br />I site to be acquired by the City comprised of the parcels at 1823, 1853, 1873 and a <br />portion of 1951 Old Highway 8 promotes the objectives outlined in the City's <br />Restated Development Program established pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, <br />Sections 469.124 to 469.134, as amended. <br /> <br />1.02 The City has presented to Robert and Audrey Nordquist a purchase <br />agreement (the "Purchase Agreement"), attached as Schedule A, outlining the <br />terms and conditions under which the City is willing to purchase the real property <br />located at 1873 Old Highway 8, New Brighton, Minnesota, PIN #16-30-23-33-0007 <br />(the "Property"). <br /> <br />Section 2. FindinQs. <br /> <br />2.01 The Council hereby finds that acquisition of the Property promotes <br />the objectives of the Modified Development Program. <br /> <br />2.02 The Council hereby finds that the Property is located in an area which <br />the Council intends to include in a new tax increment financing district pursuant to <br />Minnesota Statutes, Sections 469.174 through 469.1799, inclusive, and Laws of <br />Minnesota 1998, Chapter 389, Article 11, Section 24, all as amended and <br />supplemented from time to time. <br />
