CHILDS TO BE EXCLUDED <br />FROM THE PUBLIC EMPLOYEES RETIREMENT ASSOCIATION (PERA) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, David M. <br />excluded from membership <br />Association as authorized <br />353.025). <br /> <br />Childs, City Manager has elected to be <br />in the Public Employees Retirement <br />by Minnesota Laws 1981 (M. S . Chapter <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the <br />City of New Brighton as follows: <br /> <br />1. The Council makes the following findings: <br /> <br />a. David M. Childs is the City Manager of New <br />Brighton, Minnesota. <br /> <br />b. He was duly appointed to serve in that position <br />effective May 1, 1989. <br /> <br />c. The City Manager is the chief administrative <br />officer of the City of New Brighton. <br /> <br />d. Acting under Minnesota Laws 1981 (M.S. Chapter <br />353.025) he has elected to be excluded from <br />membership in the Public Employees Retirement <br />Association, effective upon his filing of such I <br />election with the Executive Director of that <br />Association. <br /> <br />e. In making this election he has agreed that he <br />will not at any time in the future seek any <br />authorization to purchase service credit for <br />any period of excluded service. He has further <br />agreed that this election is irrevocable. <br /> <br />2. Said election is therefore approved. <br /> <br />3.
