<br />"I <br /> <br />'~1 <br /> <br />RFSOLUTIOO NO. 89 -103 <br /> <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />OOUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGH'ION <br /> <br />RESOLUTION CERl'IFYING TAX LE.VY AND 1990 BUDG8I' IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE <br />TRUTH IN TAXATION LAW <br /> <br />Whereas, the City pursuant to Resolution 89-98 did prepare a profXJsed <br />tax levy and 1990 Budget; <br /> <br />Whereas, a copy of this Resolution was provided to the County Auditor <br />to comply with the conditions of the Truth in Taxation Law; <br /> <br />Whereas, the Truth in Taxation Law prescribes that the County will com- <br />pute the no increase and profXJsed tax rates from Resolution 89-98; <br /> <br />Whereas, the County's computation is to be furnished to the City by <br />August 8th to allow the City to mxlify Resolution 89-98; <br /> <br />Whereas, there is the fXJssibility that the Truth in Taxation Law will <br />be amended by a law enacted in a special session; <br /> <br />Whereas, the Comnissioner of Revenue has provided a IOOIrDrandum entitled <br />Instruction to Cities as an aid for compliance; <br /> <br />Now, therefore be it resolved that: <br /> <br />1. The tax levy of $2,882,500 as profXJsed in Resolution 89-98 shall not <br />be mxlified until information is fumished by the County. <br /> <br />2. The above tax arrount represents the maxirm.J.m tax anount which the City <br />will consider for 1990. <br /> <br />3. The City retains the right to rrodify the levy based on changes in <br />current law and/or changes in need as determined by the City Council. <br /> <br />4.
