'- <br /> <br />l. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 88-143 <br /> <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION OF PUBLIC SUPPORT FOR THE NEW BRIGHTON <br />DEPOT RENOVATION BEING NEW BRIGHTON'S <br />"CELEBRATE MINNESOTA 1990" PROJECT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the New Brighton Depot is a rare example of an <br />intact 1880's woodframe railroad depot; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the New Brighton Depot is an important cultural <br />resource for the City of New Brighton's residents; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, renovation of the depot would preserve the depot <br />for the benefit of future generations and provide an <br />educational and cultural resource for the community; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has endorsed the depot moving <br />and renovation as New Brighton's project for Celebrate <br />Minnesota 1990 grant funds. <br /> <br />NOW, therefore be it resolved that public comments were <br />received during a Public Hearing on December 13, 1988 and <br />based on those remarks, the City Council of the City of <br />New Brighton again endorsed the Depot Renovation as New <br />Brighton's project for "Celebrate Minnesota 1990" grant <br />funds. <br /> <br />~~ <br />Robert J. enke, Mayor <br /> <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> <br />~~~n <br /> <br />Finance Director/City Clerk <br /> <br />_~---- i-SEAL) <br />
