<br />RESOLUTION No. <br />06-049 <br /> <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE PROPOSAL AND AWARDING CONTRACT TO <br />KIMLEY-HORN AND ASSOCIATES FOR PRELIMINARY DESIGN SERVICES FOR <br />CITY PROJECT 07-03 OLD HIGHWAY 8 RECONSTRUCTION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, as part of the amended and restated contract for private redevelopment <br />between the City and the Redeveloper (Rottlund), all plans for Old Highway 8 upgrades <br />shall be agreed to between parties by July 1 ,2006; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on May 9,2006 the City Council authorized staff to prepare and solicit a <br />request for proposal; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, staff received a proposal from Kimley-Hom and Associates; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, based on their experience, their familiarity with site, and their scope and <br />associated fee for the proposed service, it was decided that Kimley-Hom and Associates <br />be selected as the preliminary design firm for City Project 07-03, Old Highway 8 <br />Reconstruction. <br /> <br />Now, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of New Brighton: <br /> <br />1. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with <br />Kimley-Hom and Associates in the amount of $28,600 for preliminary design <br />services for City Project 07-03, Old Highway 8 Reconstruction.
