<br />ij <br />....11 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 88-~ <br /> <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING A POLICY FOR INDIVIDUAL PRESSURE BOOSTER PUMPS FOR <br />AREAS OF HIGH TOPOGRAPHY. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is the City water utilities' responsibility to provide <br />water to its consuming public at adequate volumes and pressures, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the New Brighton water system was not designed to serve land <br />above elevation 990 at normal system pressure, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the most practical and cost effective way to boost the water <br />pressure for certain lots above elevation 990 is through the use of <br />individual pressure booster pumps. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the New Brighton City Council that <br />the following policy is hereby established for individual pressure booster <br />pumps for certain lots above elevation 990. <br /> <br />o The City shall purchase individual booster pumps and <br />provide them at no cost to qualifying homes that request <br />them. <br /> <br />o To qualify for a booster pump, the main floor of the <br />home must be above elevation 990. <br /> <br />o Installation, maintenance and operating costs is the <br />property owners' responsibility. <br /> <br />o The individual booster pump is the property of the City <br />of New Brighton. The system shall remain with the home <br />in the event of home sale. <br /> <br />!
