<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS <br /> <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> <br />Pursuant to notice thereof, a special meeting of the New Brighton City Council was held Monday, June 29, 1999, at <br />5:36 p,m, in the municipal building, 803 Old Highway 8 NW. <br /> <br />Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Benke, Councilmembers Hoffman, Larson, and Samuelson, <br /> <br />Absent: <br /> <br />Couilcilmember Gunderman <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Margaret Egan, Finance Director <br />Matthew Fulton, City Manager <br /> <br />Council A~enda <br /> <br />Motion by Hoffman, seconded by Samuelson, to APPROVE THE COUNCIL <br />AGENDA. <br /> <br />4 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Council Minutes - None <br /> <br />Commission Minutes - None <br /> <br />Special Order of Business - None <br /> <br />Consent A~enda <br /> <br />Motion by Samuelson, seconded by Larson, to APPROVE THE CONSENT AGENDA <br />ITEMS AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />CONSIDERATION OF APPROVAL TO WAIVE THE READING AND <br />ADOPT THE REVISED RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND <br />SUPPORTING THE APPLICATION FOR A GRANT FROM THE <br />REDEVELOPMENT GRANT PROGRAM FOR THE ACQUISITION OF <br />THE PROPERTIES IN TIF DISTRICT #26. <br /> <br />4 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Public Hearin~ - None <br /> <br />Council Business <br /> <br />Finance Director Margaret Egan presented for consideration the issuance and sale of two <br />bonds: $3,725,000 General Obligation Special Assessment Bonds for Street <br />Rehabilitation; and $325,000 General Obligation Stormwater Utility Revenue Bonds for <br />Stormwater Improvements, In addition, Egan requests authorization to negotiate the sale <br />of $645,000 Golf Course Gross Revenue Bonds for construction of a new clubhouse. <br /> <br />David MacGillivray, Springsted, said the $3,725,000 improvement bonds will be repaid <br />through revenues from the general property tax levy and special assessments.
