<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS <br /> <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> <br />Pursuant to notice thereof, a regular meeting of the New Brighton City Council was held Tuesday, June 22, 1999, at <br />7:30 p.m, in the municipal building, 803 Old Highway 8 NW, <br /> <br />Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Benke, Councilmembers Gunderman, Hoffman, Larson, and Samuelson. <br /> <br />Absent: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Jill Bishop, Economic Development Specialist <br />Richard Eckert, Councilmember of the Month <br />Matthew Fulton, City Manager <br />Kevin Locke, Community Development Director <br />Les Proper, City Engineer <br />Cary Teague, City Planner <br /> <br />Council A~enda <br /> <br />Benke noted that Report 99-150, Special Use Permit for construction of Freeway Towing <br />at warehouse facility at 201 5th St. SW, was deferred upon request by the applicant. <br /> <br />Motion by Gunderman, seconded by Samuelson, to APPROVE THE AMENDED <br />COUNCIL AGENDA. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried, <br /> <br />Council Minut\(s <br /> <br />Motion by Samuelson, seconded by Larson, to WAIVE THE READING AND <br />APPROVE THE JUNE 8, 1999, COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried, <br /> <br />Commission Minutes <br /> <br />Mayor Benke, with Council consent, received the minutes of the Economic Development <br />Commission - May 11, 1999; Planning Commission - May 18, 1999; and Public Safety <br />Commission - April 28, 1999. <br /> <br />Special Order of Business - None <br /> <br />Consent A~enda <br /> <br />Motion by Gunderman, seconded by Samuelson, to APPROVE THE CONSENT <br />AGENDA ITEMS AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />CONSOLIDATED VOUCHERS: 084185-084404 FOR A GRAND TOTAL <br />OF $338,438.86. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />CONSIDERATION OF APPROVAL TO AUTHORIZE FINAL PAYMENT <br />ON PROJECT 98-1 TO MIDWEST ASPHALT CORPORATION IN THE <br />AMOUNT OF $4,954.13, THE TOTAL FINAL AMOUNT OF THE <br />CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT IS $495,413.38. <br /> <br />Council A~enda <br /> <br />Freeway Towing <br />Report 99-150 <br /> <br />Council Minutes <br /> <br />Commission Minutes <br /> <br />Consent Agenda <br /> <br />Vouchers <br />Report 99-135 <br /> <br />Project 98-1 Final <br />Payment <br />Report 99-136 <br />
