RESOLUTION MAKING FINDINGS OF FACT AND APPROVING SP-132 (for a sign plan for Silver Lake Road Shopping Center). WHEREAS, an application for a special use permit has been made by 'i Kraus-Anderson; and ;: " Ii WHEREAS, the procedural history of the application is as follows: 1. That an application for a special use permit was filed with the City on March 27, 1986. ;; 2. That the Planning Commission, pursuant to pUblished and mailed notices, held a public hearing on April 15, 1986, all persons present at the hearing were given an opportunity to be heard. ~. ; 3. That the application for a special use permit was reviewed by the City Council on April 22, 1986, and the comments and analysis of City Staff and Planning Commission minutes and recommendations were considered. ! NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council that the following Findings of Fact are made in respect to SP-132: I. That the property is zoned B-2, neighborhood business. 2. That the building orientation is to the north and many tenants' wall signs are not visible from Silver Lake Road. 3. That the proposed sign plan is consistent with Section 9-150 (d) of the sign ordinance in that the plan provides sound identification and is compatible with surrounding land uses, is not detrimental to public safety and will not impede orderly placement of signs. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the application SP-132 is and hereby approved subject to the following condition: 1. That the lamp-like decoration extending above the ground sign will not be permitted.
