<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS <br /> <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> <br />Pursuant to notice thereof, a regular meeting of the New Brighton City Council was held Tuesday, <br />February 9, 1993, at 7:35 p.m. in the municipal building, 803 Fifth Avenue NW. <br /> <br />Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Benke, Councilmembers Gunderman, Larson, Rebelein and Williams. <br /> <br />Absent: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Barbara Jeanetta, Assistant to the City Manager <br />Charlie LeFevere, City Attorney <br />Kevin locke, Community Development Director <br />Erny Mattila, City Planner <br />Les Proper, City Engineer <br /> <br />Council Aaenda <br /> <br />Benke requested the Tax Increment Financing Districts No. 20 and 21 <br />Public Hearings be moved to the Council Business agenda. <br /> <br />Motion by Gunderman, seconded by Williams, to APPROVE THE AMENDED <br />COUNCIL AGENDA. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Council Minutes <br /> <br />Motion by Williams, seconded by Larson, to WAIVE THE READING AND <br />APPROVE THE JANUARY 26, 1993, COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Commission Minutes <br /> <br />Mayor Benke, with Council consent, received the minutes of the Human <br />Rights Commission - November 17, 1992; Environmental Quality <br />Commission - December 9, 1992 and January 13, 1993; Planning <br />Commission - December 7, 1992; and Economic Development Commission <br />- January 5, 1993. <br /> <br />Soecial Order of Business <br /> <br />Stockyard Days Queen Anne Parker introduced the 1992-1993 New <br />Brighton Royalty members: Princesses Shawna Bjerke and Julie Winters, <br />Junior Queen Mackenzie Will, Junior Commodore Andrew McLean, Junior <br />Princess Ashley Peterson, and Junior Vice Commodore Sean Stoker. <br /> <br />Assistant to the City Manager Barbara Jeanetta said the Human Rights <br />Commission's 5th Annual Martin Luther King Essay Contest received many <br />excellent entries.
