<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS <br /> <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> <br />Pursuant to notice thereof, a regular meeting of the New Brighton City Council was held Tuesday, <br />November 13, 1990, at 7:33 p.m. in the municipal building, 803 Fifth Avenue NW. <br /> <br />Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Benke, Councilmembers Rebelein, Gunderman, Larson, and Williams. <br /> <br />Absent: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />Also Present: David Childs, City Manager <br />Margaret Egan, Finance Director <br />John Kelley, Police Chief <br />Charlie LeFevere, City Attorney <br />Les Proper, City Engineer <br /> <br />Council Aaenda <br /> <br />Benke said the viewing of the Water Treatment Facility video will be <br />deferred to a future Council meeting. <br /> <br />Motion by Larson, seconded by Williams, to AMEND THE COUNCIL <br />AGENDA, <br /> <br />5 Ayes ~ 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Council Minutes <br /> <br />Motion by Rebelein, seconded by Larson, to WAIVE THE READING AND <br />APPROVE THE OCTOBER 23, 1990, COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES, <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Commission Minutes <br /> <br />Mayor Benke, with Council consent, received the minutes of the Citizen <br />Study Committee - September 26, 1990; Economic Development <br />Commission - September 27, 1990; Air Quality Board - October 1, 1990; <br />and the Planning Commission - October 16, 1990. <br /> <br />Soecial Order of Business <br /> <br />Chet Glisan, Lions Club, said the smoke detector program is one of Lion's <br />most important donations to the residents. <br /> <br />Motion by Williams, seconded by Rebelein, to ACCEPT WITH <br />APPRECIATION THE LIONS CLUB DONATION FOR THE SMOKE ALARM <br />PROGRAM AND WAIVE THE READING AND ADOPT THE RESOLUTION <br />AUTHORIZING A BUDGET CHANGE, <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Council Aaenda <br /> <br />Council Minutes <br /> <br />Commission <br />Minutes <br /> <br />Soecial Order of <br />Business <br /> <br />Smoke Alarm <br />Donation <br />Report 90-224 <br />Resolution <br />90~86A <br />
