5 <br />Council Proceedings <br />City of New Brighton <br />Sept 9, 1975 <br />Attorney stated hearing was properly called VN-148 <br />Thomas Stahl, atch itect for the development, ausel <br />was present. <br />Motion by Rebelein, seconded by Eagon t o <br />close hearing 10:09 to <br />5 ayes - O Hayes - carried <br />Motion by Fisher, seeonded.by Eagon to find hardship <br />exists and to approve VN-148 subject to the removal 10:25 <br />of two parking stalls on the southeast corner of <br />the property and extension of the curbing in the driveway <br />to the main building setback line and subject to plans <br />signed and dated by Building and planning Coordinator, <br />Sept 9, 1975 <br />5 ayes - 0 naves - carried <br />Motion by Rebelein, seconded by Anderson to approve Building <br />Permit <br />building permit subject to amended site and <br />landscape plan dated Sept 9, 1975 and signed by the Kausel <br />Building and Planning Coordinator <br />5 ayes - 0 naves - carried <br />New Business <br />Mr. Gerald Stallman, 1274 Imperial Lane, stated concern of the <br />area residents that this parcel was being handled <br />separate from policy and other park property in the <br />City. He also stated in his judgment this parcel <br />should not be considered as a park. He noted concern of <br />the residents to wild life preservation and security of PPolicy <br />their area. <br />Motion by Bromander, seconded by Rebelein to approve <br />amendments to Chapter KI of the Administrative Code <br />5 ayes - 0 naves -carried <br />Motion by Bromander, seconded by Fisher to direct <br />administration and City Attorney to research the <br />alternatives of the City in terms of returning the property <br />to the State and retaining Pond easements and other <br />options, and to additionally report on the potential use <br />for city purposes that this property has <br />5 ayes - 0 naves - carried <br />Motion by Rebelein, seconded by Eagon to receive letter SP_65 <br />from Mark F . t~iinsor, Bissel, Belair and Green <br />Architects, dated Sept.- 2, 1975 Rea athletic field 9/2$/_05 p.m. <br />lighting <br />5 ayes - 0 Hayes - carried <br />Motion by Eagon, seconded by Rebelein to set date and time <br />for hearing for Sept 23, 1975, 8:05 <br />5 ayes - 0 naves -carried <br />,-' <br />
