• <br />VILLAGE OF NEW BRIGHTON PAB.K BOARD MINUTES OF APR1Z 3, 1963 <br />Meeting was called to order at ?:32 P.I~I. by Chairman Gunderman. Board members <br />present: Arlyn Gunderman, Willis Seldon, yes Hagemeyer. Guest presento Councilman <br />Haglund, and Welfare Committeeman Eugene Partyka. <br />Minutes of previous meeting read and accepted. <br />^r <br />Treasurerts report read and accepted as follows: <br />Purchase of Land and. Improvement Fund ~g,5~9.99 <br />Operational Expense Fund <br />Total balance on account ~~,86~.54 <br />Old Business <br />Discussion was held concerning trees to be received from Ramsey Countyp Mr. Seldon <br />to investigate possibility of obtaining the trees at a later date. <br />N1r. Hagemeyer read a Letter received from Milner Ws Carley and Associates regarding <br />the construction of the Sunnyside Storm Sewer and the cost for proper grading to make <br />play facilities usable. <br />Mr. Hagemeyer made a motion that the Park Board ap~ove the Sunnyside storm sewer <br />plan so that the Sunnyside Park will have proper drainage and thus the park can be <br />developed. Gunderman seconded, Passed. <br />New Business <br />Mr. Se7,don made a motion that Mrs. Emmons is to be employed on a 60 day temporary <br />basis at $1.75 an hour. Hagemeyer seconded. Passed. <br />Mre Gunderman suggested having the Purchase of Land and Improvement Fund put iri <br />a savings account until needed. A letter is to be sent to the Village Attorney ~°e- <br />questing his opinion on transferring this money into a savings account. <br />The Park Board met with a representative from Northern States Power Co. on Tuesday, <br />April 2, 1963, in relation to the ball park lights. <br />Discussion was held concerning drainage and the lighting facilities at the village <br />softball park. <br />Development~•of Sunnyside Park was discussed. Work is to begin as soon as the <br />storm sewer is completed. <br />The use of Long Lake Beach for swimming during the summer of 1963 was discussed. <br />The Park Board is to meet with the Recreation Association on April 10 to coordinate plans <br />for the swimming program. <br />Due to an automobile accident, the meeting was recessed until April 10,19630 <br />
