These bodies in the .past <br />for years have conducted over twenty public meetings on this r <br />~; <br />subject, created a committee which included members of the. <br />Long Lake Improvement Association, to assist in development i <br />~;. <br />of the master plan and subsequently voted their approval of <br />the master plan. <br />The city feels that it has been extremely sensitive to ~' <br />environmental concerns and in fact has recommended signifi- <br />cant changes from the plan first adopted in 1978. The city <br />has further agreed to .sponsor the formation of a permanent <br />citizen ~d.visory board whose purpose is to review and make <br />,. <br />recommendations relative to: _ <br />-master plan revision <br />' -development proposals <br />-maintenance and operation policies <br />6Ve contend that the development of a former truck farm <br />into a carefully designed park will have a positive impact on <br />the environment. <br />
