NEW BRIGHTON PARK BOARD <br />MINUTES <br />JUNE 5, 1985 <br />6:30PM .The Board conducted a tour of the following parks: Freedom, <br />Hidden Oaks, Hansen, Driftwood and Meadowood, Present were Carlson, <br />Eichers, Olson, Rose, Seward and Council representative Benke. <br />I. The Park Board Meeting was called to order at 8:OOpm by <br />chairperson Gunderman. <br />II. Members present: Carlson, Eichers, Gunderman, Johnson, Olson, <br />Rose, Seward, Council Representative Benke. <br />III. Park Tour <br />IV. Minutes <br />A. The minutes of the May 1st meeting were approved as submitted. <br />V. Correspondence <br />A. Council Report <br />Councilman Benke reported that the Council had voted to <br />deny permission to the Parks Department to open a temporary <br />boat launch at Long Lake beach in 1985, <br />Moved by Gunderman, seconded by Seward, that the Park <br />Board was dissappointed in the Council's action to deny <br />permission to open a temporary boat launch. Motion tarred. <br />B. Long Lake Advisory Committee <br />No meeting. <br />VI. New Business <br />A. Discussion of Potential New City Well at Hidden Oaks Park <br />The Board requested that the City Engineer attend the <br />July Park Board Meeting to address the following concerns: <br />-General update on water capacity <br />-Possible alternative sites <br />-Procedures to be used to solicit public involvement <br />in decision on well siting. <br />B. Meeting Date far July <br />The July meeting was set for Wednesday, July 10th, 7:30pm. <br />C. Resolution of appreciation for Jim Skiba (see attached). <br />Motion by Olson, seconded by Carlson, to approve the::: <br />resolution for Jim Skiba. <br />
