NEW BRIGHTON PARK BOARD <br />MINUTES <br />MAY 1, 1985 <br />I. The Board met in joint session with the City Council and Planning <br />Commission to review potential development options for J.U.O. <br />property. <br />The Park Board meeting convened at 9:35 pm by Chairperson <br />Gunderman. <br />II. Members present: Blomquist, Carlson, Gunderman, Olson, Seward, <br />Van Hatters, Council Rep. Benke <br />III. The minutes of the February 6, 1985 meeting were approved as <br />submitted. <br />IV. Correspondence <br />A. Council Report <br />'-Councilman Benke reported that the City Council was reviewing <br />a potential development immediately north of Rush Lake and <br />the regional park site. <br />B. Long Lake Advisory Committtee <br />George Carlson reported that the committee has reviewed and <br />recommended for approval a temporary 19$5 boat access for <br />Long Lake and Master Plan amendment for Long Lake Regional <br />Park. <br />C. Department Report <br />Staff reviewed department activities during the spring season. <br />V. New Business <br />A. Long Lake Regional Park .Master Plan Amendment _ <br />The Board reviewed the amendments as presented by Ken Simons. <br />MOTION BY VAN HATTEN, SECONDED BY OLSON, TO RECOMMEND APPROVAL <br />OF THE AMENDMENTS AS PRESENTED. MOTION CARRIED. <br />B. June Meeting Plans <br />The Board decided to meet at 6:30pm on Wednesday June 5 for <br />a tour of city parks and convene its regular meeting at 8:30pm. <br />The following schedule will be observed: <br />Begin Freedom Park 6:30pm <br />Hidden Oaks <br />Hansen <br />Driftwood <br />Silver Oak <br />continued... <br />
