The meeting was called to order.by Chairperson Gunderman at 7:30pm. <br />Gunderman commended Van Hatten far putting together a very good <br />Christmas Party. <br />II. Members present: Blomquist, Eichers, Gunderman, Johnson, Olson, <br />Rose, Seward, van Hatton, Council Rep. Benke <br />III. Minutes of February 6, 1985 meeting were approved as submitted. <br />IV. Correspondence <br />A. Council Report <br />Johnson commented, since Benke had not yet arrived, that the <br />Council's comments on the Christmas Party were goad. The <br />CIP items were approved as presented. <br />.Anderson said the Council did .delete. money from the. gravel <br />pit site because no action was foreseen in the next few <br />years. The item will be left in because it is still being <br />considered in the future. <br />B. Lang Lake Advisory Committee <br />Johnson said the Historical Society Bldg. will be moved to <br />the east side. of the railroad tracks. The preliminary plans <br />showed it on the west side.. There will be a small parking lot. <br />for about 6 cars.. The location is good because anyone who <br />comes into the park will dx'ive by the building. Nothing is <br />finalized yet, however.. <br />Gunderman asked if the boat launch will be open this summer. <br />Anderson said he has been asked to bring it tca the Council <br />after the bond. election. There still will be time to get <br />it through the two governmental bodies and .make the decision. <br />Johnson said that Ken Simons Ramsey County had some real <br />preliminary plans on the boat launch. <br />Anderson said there have been some pipeline problems. A <br />temperary parking lot will be put in and after ten years the <br />parking lot will be relocated, A modest increase in cost will <br />be seen. <br />C. Department Report <br />Anderson said swimming registration has been very popular <br />this spring. Pat Nelson seems to be fitting in nicely and <br />catching on well. Council approved the contract for <br />diseased tree removal. The prices were good; it is a new <br />contractor this year. The Council approved the CIP as the <br />Park Board submitted it. The Parking lot on the south end <br />of Hansen is due to be done. Nixon, the owner of the pumpkin <br />
