June 29, 1990 <br />To: New Brighton Park Board <br />From: Maurice H. Anderson, Director of Parks and Recreation <br />Re: July Meeting <br />There will be no July Park Board meeting. First, we thought you <br />might not want to meet on the first Wednesday and second, Trammel <br />Crow has pulled out of the Twin Cities market so their proposal <br />is history. <br />The Council authorized purchase of Arnold Palmer's property for <br />$110,000, payable over five years. This fall we should meet with <br />area residents to prepare development plans. <br />If all goes as planned, the Council will be asked on July 10th to <br />approve purchase of the "Harstad site" for the community center. <br />There will also be a plan presented for a major housing <br />development "downtown." If your schedule allows, you should put <br />that council meeting on your calendar. <br />Have a fun and safe 4th! <br />
