<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />. .~~;:'. .', <br /> <br />COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> <br />Pursuant to notic~ thereof, a regular meeting of the New Brighton City Council <br />was held Tuesday, January 10, 1984, at 7:30 p.m. in the municipal building, <br />803 Fifth Avenue NW. <br /> <br />Present: Mayor Gregory Harcus, Councilmembers Bob Benke, Roger Blomquist, <br />Jeanette Janecek and Steve Schmidt <br /> <br />Also <br />Present: Henry Sinda, City Manager <br />Leslie Proper, City Engineer <br />James Winkels, Director of Community Development <br />Charles LeFevere, City Attorney <br />Brenda Krueger, City Planner <br />Margaret Egan, City Clerk <br /> <br />Council Minutes <br /> <br />Motion by Harcus, seconded by Janecek to approve the minutes of the December 13, <br />1983 Council Meeting. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Commission Minutes <br /> <br />The Mayor, with the consent of the City Council, directed receipt of the <br />Human Rights Commission Minutes of December 5, 1983 and Planning Commission <br />Minutes of December 20, 1983. <br /> <br />Special Order of Business <br /> <br />Motion was made by Greg Harcus, seconded by Benke to adopt a <br />SPECIAL RESOLUTION COMMENDING GREG DELAUNE AND MEMBERS OF BOY <br />SCOUT TROOP 299 AND TO PRESENT CERTIFICATES OF COMMENDATION <br />FOR OUTSTANDING SERVICE TO GREG DELAUNE, BRIAN EDGETT, BRENT <br />ERICKSON, KURT ERICKSON, JOHN RYAN AND TOM ZEMLIN. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Resolutions and Commcndationswere distributed to those members <br />present from Troop 299 after which photographs were taken of <br />the group. <br /> <br />Motion made by Harcus. seconded by Janecek to adopt a SPECIAL <br />RESOLTUION OF APPRECIATION FOR WAYNE BABBITT. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />As Mr. Babbitt was not present, his Resolution and Commendation <br />Certificate will be presented to him on Monday, January 16, <br />1984 at the Firemen's Relief Association's Annual Meeting. <br /> <br />Boy Scout Troop 299 <br />Commendation <br />Resolution #83-152 <br />Resolution #83-153 <br /> <br />Retiring Firefighter <br />Wayne Babbitt <br />Commendation <br />Resolution #83-154 <br />
