<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> <br />Pursuant to notice thereof, a regular meeting of the New Brighton City Council <br />was held Tuesday, February 14, 1984, at 7:30 p.m. in the municipal building, <br />803 Fifth Avenue NW. <br /> <br />Present: Mayor Gregory Harcus, Counci1members Bob Benke, Roger Blomquist, <br />Jeanette Janecek, Steve Schmidt <br /> <br />Also <br />Present: Henry Sinda, City Manager <br />Leslie Proper, City Engineer <br />James Winkels, Director of Community Development <br />Margaret Egan, Finance Director <br />Maurice Anderson, Parks and Recreation Director <br />Charles LeFevere, City Attorney <br /> <br />Council Mi nutes <br /> <br />Benke corrected the minutes of the January 24, 1984 meeting to indicate that <br />he had opposed the motion that the Goal Setting/Team Building Program be held <br />at Cragun1s, pending approval by the City Attorney. <br /> <br />Motion by Harcus, seconded by Blomquist, to approve the minutes of January 24, <br />1984 as amended. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Commission Minutes <br /> <br />The Mayor, with the consent of the City Council, directed receipt of the <br />Citizen Study Committee minutes of December 14, 1983, the Park Board minutes <br />of January 4, 1984, the Human Rights Commission minutes of January 9, 1984 and <br />Planning Commission minutes of January 17, 1984. <br /> <br />Consent Agenda <br /> <br />Benke asked that Item V-5 (Consideration of a Resolution Supporting the <br />Minnesota Meadows, a Racing Facility in Blaine, Minnesota) be moved to Council <br />Business. <br /> <br />Motion by Blomquist, seconded by Schmidt, to approve the Consent Agenda items <br />as follows: <br /> <br />1. Consolidated Fund Vouchers <br /> <br />2. License Renewals (Report #84-37) <br />A. Motor Vehicle Dealers - Used and New <br /> <br />(1) Paron Motors <br />(2) First State Bank of New Brighton <br />(3) Mi nar Ford <br />(4) Howard Pipcorn <br />
