<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS <br /> <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> <br />Pursuant to notice thereof, a regular meeting of the New Brighton <br />City Council was held Tuesday, May 10, 1983, at 7:30 p.m. in the <br />municipal building, 803 Fifth Avenue N.W. <br /> <br />Present: Mayor Greg Harcus, Councilmembers Bob Benke, Steve <br />Schmidt, Roger Blomquist, Jeanette Janecek <br /> <br />Absent: None <br /> <br />Also <br />Present: <br /> <br />Margaret Egan, Finance Director <br />Charles LeFevere, City Attorney <br />Mark Kozlak, Liquor Director <br />Leslie Proper, City Engineer <br />James Winkels, Community Development Director <br /> <br />Minutes <br />Motion by Harcus, seconded by Blomquist to approve the minutes <br />of April 26, 1983, and May 3, 1983. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />The Mayor with consent of the Council, directed receipt of <br />the Finance Policy Advisory Board minutes of April 21, 1983, <br />the Human Rights Commission minutes of May 2, 1983, and the <br />Citizens Study Committee minutes of April 27, 1983. <br /> <br />Special Order of Business <br />Motion by Harcus, seconded by Janecek to approve a RESOLUTION <br />OF APPRECIATION FOR JAMES W. FORNELL. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />RESOLUTION OF <br />APPRECIATION <br />James W. Fornell <br />Resolution #83-59 <br /> <br />Consent Agenda <br /> <br />Motion by Benke, seconded by Janecek to approve ,the <br />consent agenda items as follows: <br /> <br />1. Consolidated Fund Voucher Nos. 063242-063301 & 070612-074642 <br /> <br />2. Liquor Fund Voucher Nos. 019718-019776 & 015205-015242 <br /> <br />3. Approval of Resolution authorizing participation in the <br />in the Minnesota Police Recruitment System and to <br />appoint a director to MPRS. Report No. 83-129, Resolution #83-58 <br /> <br />4. Approval of payment to All Seasons Comfort in the amount <br />of $9,000 for air conditioning for downtown liquor operation. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes - motion carried <br />
