1f #- ~)'.J-7 /I " ,'" \" '-", Extract of Minutes of Meeting of the City Council of the City of New Brighton, Ramsey County, Minnesota Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of New Brighton, Ramsey County, Minnesota, was duly held at the City Hall in said City on Tuesday, September 15, 1982 at 7:30 o'clock P.M. The following members were present: Mayor Gregg Harcus, Councilmembers Bob Benke, Roger Blomquist, Jeanette Janecek, Steve Schmidt and the following were absent: None * * * * * * * * * * * * '-' Councilman Blomquist introduced ,the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2629A INITIAL RESOLUTION FOR GENERAL OBLIGATION WATBR BONDS AND CALLING FOR AN ELECTION THEREON BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of New Brighton, Minnesota, as follows: 1. The City Council of the City of New Brighton hereby determines, finds and declares it is necessary and expedient for the City to acquire and co~struct water wells and related facilities to comply with the irective of the Minnesota Depart- ment of Health that the City provide contaminate free water, and to borrow money and issue the general obligation bonds of the City in the amount of not to exceed $1,800,000 for such purpose, such bonds to be payable from general tax levies and water utility revenues in such proportion as the City Council may determine. 2. A special election of the City is hereby called and directed to be held in conjunction with the general election' on November 2, 198~, between the hours of 7:00 o'clock A.M. and 8:00 o'clock P.M. Said election shall be held at the regular ~ polling places theretofore established for the City elections.
