VN-220 <br /> <br />k:... <br /> <br />'i\IiIl~ <br /> <br />WHEREAS. An application for a variance entitled VN-220 has <br />been made by Becker Carpet Service to permit the construction of <br />an industrial building with side street yard parking; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS. The procedural history of the application is as <br />follows: <br /> <br />1. That an application for variance. VN-220 was filed with <br />the City of New Brighton on May 14. 1981. <br />2. That such application was reviewed by the New Brighton <br />Planning Commi$$ion Board of Review on May,19. 1981. <br />3. That the City Council. pursuant to published and mailed <br />notices. held a pOblic hearing on. June 9. 1981. all <br />person's present at the hearing were given a~ opportunity <br />to be heard. <br />4. '- <br />~t ' "" """.l,- :-.,.. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED. That the New Brighton City <br />Council makes the following Findings of Fact in respect to VN-220: <br /> <br />1. That the property is zoned 1-1, Light Industrial; <br />2. That the proposed parking is setback at least 40 feet from <br />the right-of-way and the proposed zoning code would allow <br />such parking; <br />3. That the site is unique in that it is enclosed on three <br />sides by publiC streets; <br />4. That the forty foot landscape strip next to 8th Avenue NW <br />provides for a landscaped area to screen the parking from <br />the right-of-way. <br /> <br />IT FURTHER RESOLVED That the application VN-220 is and <br />approved subject to the following conditions: <br /> <br />That the landscape plan be well~maintained to provide <br />adequate screening of the parking from all public right- <br />of-ways; <br />2. That the applicant provide a 9.5 foot easement for road <br />. purposes along Old Highway #8; and <br />3.
