<br />1" <br /> <br />f <br /> <br />" <br /> <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />I <br />r~ <br /> <br />! <br />J.~ ""\ <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 632 <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of New Brighton does hereby amend the New <br />Brighton Code of Ordinances as follows: <br /> <br />Section 1. Chapter 2, Article IV, Division 5, Section 2-110 - 2-112 is amended to <br />read: <br /> <br />Division 5. CABLE ADVISORY COMMITTEE COMMUNICATIONS ADVISORY <br />COMMISSION <br /> <br />Sec. 2-110. Establishment, <br /> <br />The Cable Communications Advisory Commission is hereby established. <br /> <br />i ~ <br /> <br />Sec. 2-111. Purpose <br /> <br />To advise the council on quality and content of municipal programming (currently <br />ehannel16) for the city. <br />As an advisory committee to the New Brighton City Council. the mission of the New <br />Brighton Communications Advisory Commission is to build communications links <br />between New Brighton citizens. businesses and local government and to promote <br />active participation in New Brighton community life through the use of present and <br />evolving forms of electronic communication. <br /> <br />Sec. 2-111. Duties and Responsibilities <br /> <br />The duties and responsibilities of the Commission shall be: <br /> <br />(a) <br /> <br />To advise the City Council and City Manager's Office on ways to improve the <br />quality of municipal programming (channel 16) and bulletin board: <br />(1) Through random and systematic viewing of channel offerings; <br />(2) Through community surveyor call-in techniques; <br />(3) Through comparisons with other municipal channel offerings; and <br />To produce or borrow programming of intcr-cst to bfOadcast to municipal <br />channel 16 viewers by: <br />f41.M1 Identifying opportunities to share programming among other municipal <br />producers or public agencies; and <br />(5) Producing programming with the assistance of New Brighton and North <br />Suburban Community Television staff, equipment, facilities, and <br />volunteers. <br />@ By recommending programming standards to the City Council and insure <br />programming on channel 16 meets Council approved standards. <br />ill By producing good quality programming on channel 16. <br />.LID By encouraging and assisting good quality program production for <br />channel 16 by City Departments. other community organizations and <br />citizens. <br /> <br />(b) <br />
