RESOLUTION NO 2321 STATE OF MINNESOTA COUNTY OF RAMSEY CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON RESOLUTION MAKING FINDINGS OF FACT AND APPROVING APPLICATION FOR AMENDMENT TO SPECIAL USE PERMIT, SP-78 WHEREAS, An application for an amendment to special use permit, SP-78 has been made by RCE Corporation to amend the sign plan for the Rice Creek Center~ and WHEREAS, The procedural history of the application is as follows: 1. That an application for an amendment to special use permit, SP-78 was filed with the City of New Brighton on February 15, 1980. 2. That such application was reviewed by the New Brighton Planning Commission Board of Review on February 19, 1980, March 18, 1980 and April 15, 1980. 3. That the City Council, pursuant to published and mailed I notices, held a public hearing on March 11, 1980, March 25, 1980 and April 22. 1980, all person's present at the hearing were given an opportunity to be heard. 4. The written comments and analysis of the City staff, the Planning Commission minutes and recommendations were considered. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED. That the New Brighton City Council makes the following Findings of Fact in respect to amending SP-78: 1. The directory sign would provide more effective identification of arcade tenants; 2. That the directory sign would reduce clutter and will not interfere with the architectural features of the building; i 3. That the proposed directory sign would be consistent with the general purposes of SP-78 and the sign ordinance. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the application for an amendment to SP-78 is and hereby approved subject to the following conditions: 1. That the following items of the sign plan approved on October 25, 1977 be amended under Section "Tenants With Arcade Frontage" to read:
