<br />'I <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO 2316 <br /> <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> <br />RESOLUTION MAKING FINDINGS OF FACT AND APPROVING APPLICATION <br />FOR SPECIAL USE PERMIT, SP-89, JOHN LANGE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, An application for a Special Use Permit <br />entitled SP-89 has been made by John Lange to permit the <br />signing at 1211 Old Highway #8; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, The procedural history of the application is <br />as follows: <br /> <br />1. That an application for a special use permit, SP-89 <br />was filed with the City of New Brighton on <br />February 13, 1980, <br />2. That such application was reviewed by the New <br />Brighton Planning Commission Boa~d of Review on <br />February 19, 1980 and March 18, 1980, <br />3, That the City Council, pursuant to published and <br />mailed notices, held a public hearing on April 18, <br />1980, all person's present at the hearing were <br />given an opportunity to be heard, <br />4, The written comments and analysis of the City staff, <br />the Planning Commission minutes and recommendations <br />were considered, <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the New Brighton City <br />Council makes the following Findings of Fact in respect to <br />SP-89: <br /> <br />1, The general purpose of the sign ordinance is to <br />promote sound identification, reduction of <br />clutter and aesthetic enhancement; <br />2, That the building design and location create a <br />situation where signing must be handled <br />sensitively; <br />3, That wall signs would not be consistent with the <br />general purposes of the sign ordinance, <br />4, That a single ground sign as proposed would <br />provide sound identification would be compatible <br />with the general area, <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the application SP-89 is <br />and hereby approved subject to the following conditions: <br /> <br />1. That no more than one (1) ground sign shall be <br />permitted on the property. <br />2. That the ground sign contain building address <br />and tenant names only; <br />3, That such ground sign shall not exceed 56 square <br />feet in area nor 10 feet in height, and shall <br />have a minimum setback requirement of thirteen <br />(13) feet, four (4) inches from the front <br />property line; <br />4, That no wall signs shall be allowed; <br /> <br />'i <br />
