March 1, 1989 Park Board Minutes 6 <br />Eichers didn't feel another meeting was necessary. <br />Gunderman said it would be better to take care of concerns before <br />it comes before the council. The council may send it back for <br />consideration if a large number of residents attend the council <br />meeting and oppose it. <br />Eichers said more time and effort is going into this project than <br />is necessary. <br />Johnson said if a notice goes out it must be absolutely clear <br />that it is an informational meeting before it goes to the <br />council. <br />Johnson asked about the time line on the community center. <br />Anderson said a needs assessment will be done the end of .May. <br />The next step is to take it to an architectural firm for <br />preliminary costs (about 3-4 months}. Site acquisition happens <br />after the needs assessment and preliminary design. <br />VI. Old Business <br />None <br />VII. Announcements <br />A.
